M.Sc. Roura is also involved in technology transfer and licensing activities, the formation and management of innovation projects, and various linkage activities with the industrial, governmental, and academic sectors that actively deploy the capabilities of the Institute of Chemistry externally. For instance, he has participated in advanced workshops on information searches, patent drafting, and intellectual property management offered by WIPO; has conducted research internships in collaboration with WIPO; and participated in the Effective Linkage and Technology Transfer Diploma course by ADIAT in its 2011 edition and the Technology Commercialization Workshop given by ISIS Innovation Ltd. at the 3rd Congress of the OTT Network. He is a member of the Leaders in Innovation Fellowship (LIF) community of the Royal Academy of Engineering (RAE) and the Newton Fund, serves on the Board of Directors of the OTT Network (Technology Transfer Offices Network), is part of the National Executive Committee of the Mexican Chemical Society, and is on the Advisory and Linkage Council of Universidad La Salle. He has also served as a Spark Mentor for the translational medicine program founded at Stanford University.
