Resumen Académico

Actualmente, se desempeña como Investigadora Titular B a tiempo completo en el Instituto de Química. Posee el nivel PRIDE C y es Investigadora Nacional Nivel II dentro del Sistema Nacional de Investigadores.

Su educación incluye una licenciatura en Ingeniería Química Industrial del Instituto Politécnico Nacional y un doctorado en Ciencias Químicas otorgado por el CINVESTAV-IPN, seguido de un posdoctorado en el Instituto de Química de la UNAM. A lo largo de su trayectoria profesional, ha establecido una línea de investigación centrada en la síntesis, caracterización estructural y análisis de las propiedades fisicoquímicas y biológicas de compuestos organometálicos e inorgánicos, con especial atención a complejos que contienen silicio, boro, estaño(IV), germanio(IV) y metales de transición. Su investigación examina las relaciones entre estructura y actividad, incluyendo evaluaciones biológicas y la aplicación de herramientas experimentales y teóricas para entender el comportamiento de estos sistemas.

En su producción académica se cuentan 60 artículos científicos publicados en revistas indexadas en el JCR y dos capítulos de libro, acumulando más de 1300 citas y un índice h de 23, lo cual evidencia tanto el impacto como la consistencia de su labor. En 2025 fue galardonada por Wiley con la distinción Top Cited Paper por su artículo publicado en Bioinorganic Chemistry and Applications. Adicionalmente, recibió el Reconocimiento Sor Juana Inés de la Cruz otorgado por la UNAM en 2011.

En la formación de recursos humanos: ha supervisado 9 tesis de posgrado, 40 tesis licenciatura y 2 proyectos posdoctorales, además de ofrecer tutorías para estancias profesionales, contribuyendo así al desarrollo académico continuo especialmente entre los estudiantes más jóvenes.

Currently, she is a full-time Senior Researcher (Level B) at the Institute of Chemistry. She holds PRIDE Level C status and is a Level II National Researcher within the National System of Researchers.

Her education includes a Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Chemical Engineering from the National Polytechnic Institute (IPN) and a PhD in Chemical Sciences from CINVESTAV-IPN, followed by a postdoctoral fellowship at the Institute of Chemistry of the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM). Throughout her career, she has established a research focus on the synthesis, structural characterization, and analysis of the physicochemical and biological properties of organometallic and inorganic compounds, with particular attention to complexes containing silicon, boron, tin(IV), germanium(IV), and transition metals. Her research examines structure-activity relationships, including biological assessments and the application of experimental and theoretical tools to understand the behavior of these systems.

Her academic output includes 60 scientific articles published in journals indexed in the Journal Citation Reports (JCR) and two book chapters, accumulating over 1,300 citations and an h-index of 23, demonstrating both the impact and consistency of her work.
